The Wells County Regional Sewer District is investigating installation of sanitary sewer infrastructure in the unincorporated city of Tocsin. A Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) has been developed for this project and is available for review. The purpose of this project is to alleviate failing septic systems in this community and begin the process of revitalization that can start once septic discharge is isolated from storm sewer/county tiles in the proposed service area.
The proposed route follows one of two paths:
From Tocsin, the force main would follow SR 224 west to join in to the Kingsland project area.
From Tocsin, the force main would follow CR 600E south to 500N, where the line would turn west to SR 1. This route would follow 500N to join the force main line between Kingsland and Murray.
We welcome feedback from residents along both proposed routes.
