Keystone

Overview

The Wells County Regional Sewer District is investigating installation of sanitary sewer infrastructure in the unincorporated city of Keystone.  A Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) has been developed for this project and is available for review.  The purpose of this project is to alleviate failing septic systems in this community and begin the process of revitalization that can start once septic discharge is isolated from storm sewer/county tiles in the proposed service area.

The proposed route follows CR 200W south out of Keystone to CR1100 S.  From there, the force main route would follow one of two routes to Montpelier. Optional Route 1 – From the intersection of CR 200W and CR 1100S, the force main would turn west and follow CR 1100S to CR 300W.  This route follows CR 300S to CR 1200S, where it turns west to follow CR 1200S to Blackford CR 450E south into Montpelier.

Optional Route 2 – From the intersection of CR 200W and CR 1100S, the force main would continue to follow CR 200W south to CR 1200S, where it turns west to follow CR 1200S to Blackford CR 450E south into Montpelier.

We welcome feedback from residents along both proposed routes.  We want to route this force main where it can benefit the most residents.
