Kingsland

Overview

The Wells County Regional Sewer District is investigating installation of sanitary sewer infrastructure in the unincorporated city of Kingsland.  A Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) has been developed for this project and is available for review.  The purpose of this project is to alleviate failing septic systems in this community and begin the process of revitalization that can start once septic discharge is isolated from storm sewer/county tiles in the proposed service area.

The proposed route follows CR 250E south out of Kingsland to CR 500N.  The route then turns west down CR 500N.  From there, it will either turn south to follow CR 175E south to 400N where the line will turn west to CR 100E or the route may head west along CR 500N to CR 100E (Norwell Road) where it will turn south to join the Murray project area currently under construction.   We welcome public feedback on both proposed routes so that we can better serve the area if there is a desire to connect to this sanitary system.

A copy of the preliminary engineering report can be viewed online at the Wells County Regional Sewer District website, or by contacting Lewis Brown at 260-353-1616.  Written comments can also be submitted to the Wells County Regional Sewer District at 223 W. Washington Street, Suite 208, Bluffton, Indiana 46714.
